Such a cool little place that you need to try! Awesome atmosphere and pretty chandeliers in dining area are so neat. We stopped for drinks and apps and the spinach artichoke dip was amazing! Robert was fun to talk to and made great drinks, will definitely be back, a hidden gem in Monticello!

This is a really cool place. Lots of delicious options and the theming is great. We shared a burger (I can totally see why they were named top 10 in Iowa for burgers) and a Mac and cheese. My daughter had the garlic pasta. Portions are great and it tastes amazing. The squeaky cheese and homemade ranch is also fantastic. The manager (owner?) also has a really great voice. She was caught singing (force of habit probably) and she sounded great. The music choices they played were great and fit the theme but also seemed to be modern. Whoever made the playlist did a great job. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive for us!

We stopped here based on the fact they were a top 10 finalist for best burger in IA in 2024. When we arrived, we were blown away by the ambiance. Totally unexpected and definitely a great vibe. From the velvet covered booths, to the wall paper and lighting, all details were exquisite. We got to chat it up with the owner and the manager about the building, nice people. They said ~90% of their food is from scratch as they have a farm to table approach. We started off with a variety of appetizers that were served in a fun hat. The homemade was amazing and we all loved the cheeseballs and onion rings. Our table tried burgers and chicken tenders. The burgers were over cooked (well done) hence the 4 star food review. The flavor was great, just dry and well done for our liking (in hind site, we were not asked how we would like our burger prepared). The drink specials were amazing! My husband is a fan of white russians and this special had coconut, to which he said, all white russians should be made with coconut. Come check this place out! Sadly, we don't live in the area, as I could see this easily be one of our favorite regular places to either dine or hang out.

Pretty sure I had the best cheese curds of my life at this place! Lightly breaded, with blueberry compote and a crème I think (Fri night special)? This Wisconsin girl is in love!!! Had the mixed drink flight, fun to share with my girlfriends. Parm fries and Buffalo wrap were good. My friends loved their shrimp and burger as well. We are going back!!

Just.... WoW! My wife and I came here for our 10yr wedding anniversary! Our first time and were blown away by every aspect of this place. Our waitress was Becca and she was outstanding! We are still sitting here and already can't wait to come back again! The Prime Rib? Amazing! The Sirloin? Amazing! The service? Amazing! Stop here and eat! Highly recommend the tenderloin and the swordfish sandwich. The owner was wonderful and stopped by to chat about the history of the building and her passion for making it great. Prices are perfectly reasonable. Go support this place, you won’t be disappointed!
